Attorney Erdem Turkekul

Erdem Türkekul, a lawyer experienced in entrepreneurship and innovation projects, was admitted to the Istanbul Bar Association in 1990. After graduating from Istanbul University Faculty of Law, he entered the Istanbul University Institute of Social Sciences' Master's program in European Union Law in 2002. Erdem Türkekul is the founding partner of Turkekul Law Firm. He plans and executes Intellectual Property (IP) enforcement strategies throughout Turkey. He provides legal consulting services to clients and relevant government agencies in the protection, enforcement, and exercise of IP rights, particularly regarding the management of IP portfolios and the negotiation and drafting of complex contracts with robust IP content (Collaboration Licenses, Franchising, Advertising, and Collaboration Agreements). Türkekul's practice focuses on coordinating the protection of the intellectual property portfolios of numerous large local and multinational companies, including trademarks, copyright, industrial designs, patents, trade secrets, and know-how. Mr. Türkekul has extensive experience initiating and defending intellectual property infringement, enforcement, and unfair competition claims on behalf of his clients. He advises clients on trademark clearance, trademark prosecution and opposition, maintaining international trademark portfolios, pursuing IP acquisitions, overseeing IP litigation, IP licensing agreements, copyright and industrial design clearance, and registration and advertising law.
