A project for the use of technology developed by a Turkish defense industry company operating in the aerospace sector in civilian sectors. New business models are being developed to license the project to companies in designated sectors in Türkiye and abroad.
Contrary to popular belief, the opportunities arising from dual-use technologies are not limited to technology trade between the defense and civilian industries. An examination of the technology inventories of companies conducting innovation programs reveals that many of the solutions they develop specifically for their own sectors can also be used in other sectors. For example, a welding technology developed by an oil refinery to meet its own needs could be adapted for use by a company operating in the automotive sub-industry. Therefore, innovations based on the principle of dual-use have the potential to be commercialized in "civil" sectors operating in different areas.

Dual Use Project
The most important factor that distinguishes mentoring services offered in corporate organizations from other mentoring services is the expectation that project outcomes align with the company's innovation strategies. In this particular case, the mentor has a dual responsibility to both the project team and the senior management of the company implementing the innovation program. It is crucial for the mentor to manage these differing expectations in a way that doesn't erode the motivation of intrapreneurs.
